Gordon McNicoll is a government lawyer who has been assigned by the Scottish Government to the Inquiry. He joined the Scottish Office in 1986 after working in private practice. Throughout his career he has been involved in the full range of Government legal work, including property law, contracts, inquiries and litigation, instructing and drafting legislation and advisory work.
His inquiry experience includes the M8 extension, fatal accident and planning inquiries. Most recently he was working in the area of education, child and family law, planning and local government.
